░ Akustemologia, pojęcie wprowadzone przez amerykańskiego etnomuzykologa Stevena Felda, zakłada, że dźwięk jest nie tylko doświadczeniem zmysłowym, lecz także sposobem poznawania i doświadczania świata. Pozwala głębiej rozumieć rzeczywistość, orientować się w niej i nieustannie redefiniować relacje między człowiekiem a otoczeniem — a nawet kwestionować sam podział na nas i świat.
 
░ Pierwsze seminarium w ramach programu muzycznego Zamku poświęcone będzie ziemi i jej dźwiękom. Skupi się zarówno na dźwiękach słyszalnych, jak i niesłyszalnych, a także na akustykach, które ziemia wytwarza lub tłumi. Poruszy również pytanie, czy ziemia może słuchać — i jak rozumieć to w sposób nieantropocentryczny.
 
W trakcie seminarium swoje prezentecje przedstawią Elisabeth Povinelli oraz Mariana Berezovska, moderatorem spoktania będzie Antoni Michnik.
 
■ Elisabeth Povinelli
badaczka, teoretyczka i artystka, autorka pojęcia geontologii, które opisuje mechanizmy władzy oparte na rozróżnieniu między życiem a nie-życiem. W opracowaniu tego pojęcia istotną rolę odegrały przykłady związane z ziemią jako podmiotem słuchającym.

■ Mariana Berezovska
kuratorka, redaktorka pisma Borshch oraz inicjatorka projektu Disturbed Ground, poświęconego badaniu sonicznych aspektów wojennych zniszczeń ziemi w Ukrainie. 

■ Antoni Michnik
badacz, teoretyk, redaktor i artysta, specjalizujący się w historycznych badaniach nad dźwiękiem oraz w sztuce dźwięku.

░ Acoustemology, a concept introduced by American ethnomusicologist Steven Feld, posits that sound is not only a sensory experience but also a way of knowing and experiencing the world. It allows for a deeper understanding of reality, helps us navigate it, and constantly redefines the relationships between humans and their surroundings — even questioning the very distinction between us and the world.

░ The first seminar in the Castle’s music program will focus on the earth and its sounds. It will address both audible and inaudible sounds, as well as acoustics that the earth produces or dampens. The seminar will also explore whether the earth can listen — and how this can be understood in a non-anthropocentric way.

During the seminar, Elisabeth Povinelli and Mariana Berezovska will present their talks, and the session will be moderated by Antoni Michnik.

■ Elisabeth Povinelli
Researcher, theorist, and artist, author of the concept of geontology, which describes mechanisms of power based on distinctions between life and non-life. Examples involving the earth as a listening subject played an important role in developing this concept.

■ Mariana Berezovska
Curator, editor of the magazine Borshch, and initiator of the project Disturbed Ground, dedicated to studying the sonic aspects of war-related damage to the earth in Ukraine.

■ Antoni Michnik
Researcher, theorist, editor, and artist, specializing in historical sound studies and sound art.
